Tartarus™ is a field-deployable gel-binary energetic designed to solve the logistical, handling, and integration challenges created by legacy cast and high-brisance explosives.
Rather than attempting to replace TNT or C4 outright, Tartarus™ excels in the use cases where those materials create unnecessary weight, cost, complexity, and transportation burden—particularly in modern platforms such as UAS, remote payload delivery systems, and lightweight deployable munitions.
With a Relative Effectiveness (RE) of 1.28, Tartarus™ delivers more usable energy per unit mass than TNT, while eliminating the need for casting, melting, machining, or specialized explosive handling infrastructure. The binary gel system can be transported as non-detonable components, mixed in the field, and deployed rapidly without the traditional constraints associated with legacy energetics.
Tartarus™ is ideal for applications where C4-level brisance is not required, but where traditional TNT-based solutions are cost-prohibitive, logistically burdensome, or difficult to integrate into modern lightweight platforms.
